PAIA
As required by the Promotion of Access to Information Act (PAIA) 2 of 2000, Perfect View Solutions is transparent about the records we hold and how you can request them. PAIA gives anyone the right to request access to certain records held by private bodies if needed to exercise or protect a legal right. Our records include routine business documents (such as client agreements, invoices, emails, and service records) that we have created or collected in the course of our operations.
- PAIA Manual: We have a PAIA Manual outlining our records and procedures. It is available free of charge upon request from our Information Officer. This manual explains the types of records we hold, and the procedures for accessing them.
- Information Officer: Our Information Officer (also handling PAIA matters) is responsible for processing PAIA requests. You can write to them at privacy@perfectviewsolutions.co.za or send a letter to our registered address. All PAIA requests must be made in writing.
- How to Request: To request information, please submit a request (using the prescribed PAIA "Form 2" available from our Information Officer or the Information Regulator's website) specifying the records you want and the legal right involved. We may ask you to pay a small fee as prescribed by PAIA regulationsinforegulator.org.za. We will respond within the timeframes set by PAIA (generally 30 days).
- Response and Appeals: If we grant your request, we will provide the records (with any confidential details of third parties redacted as allowed by law). If we refuse or partially refuse your request, we will inform you of the reasons and your right to internal appeal. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator if you are not satisfied with our response.
In summary, PAIA ensures you can access information held by us. We are committed to full PAIA compliance: our PAIA Manual is available on request, and our Information Officer will assist you in exercising your rights under the Act. For more guidance on PAIA, you can also consult the Information Regulator's PAIA Guide.
